Dependable, trustworthy service Posted by Aimee F. on 2005/07/02 I was referred to Cobra transmission by an auto mechanic in my church who had them fix his tranny while he was sick. The first time we visited them was for a second opinion. We'd been given a $600 estimate by another repair shop that was in Richmond. Within a day we had our estimate from Cobra--about $75. That repair lasted us for six years. We put a lot of miles on our car. My husband used to drive from Irvine to Richmond and now drives from Winchester to Richmond daily for work. In addition to that we make trips between 500 and 800 miles a few times each year, and weekly trips to Lexington. Any six year repair job thrills us, let me tell you.My mother had to buy a rebuilt transmission from them four years ago. Cobra again had the best price of anyplace in the region, and although it only came with a thirty day warranty, it's still going strong and she puts as many miles on her car as we do ours. We recently had them fix our van, and once again we were impressed with their professionalism, their ability to come in on or under estimate, and their speed of work.

Randy, Thanks. The rear differential on my 2004 Explorer was leaking and had a grinding noise. After you fixed it, you said it would be like a new car, and you were Correct. It was a huge difference. Thanks for the good work. Always heard you were dependable and honest, and I believe it….
